Welcome to my portfolio website! I'm Aaron, a Sophomore in the BS in Information Science program at Cornell University and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. I have a strong interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning, as well as computer science as a whole. Ultimately I intend to pursue Artifical Intelligence research and development, but I am always looking for opportunities to expand my skill set as a developer and software engineer. I believe that a well-rounded understanding of computer science is crucial to pursuing a career in artificial intelligence, and I am eager to continue growing my knowledge in all areas of the field.

I have developed a diverse range of computer science and technology skills throughout my academic and professional journey, including completion of an AS in Cybersecurity.

I have a good foundation in data science and a familiarity with the basics of neural networks and machine learning. I'm familiar with machine learning use cases and applications, and have a knowledge of basic neural network architectures. Particularly I am interested in the applicaton of genetic programming methods in conjunction with traditional machine learning techniques, and along this line I have explored NEAT and HyperNEAT. I have played around with CPPNs a fair amount, and even implemented a crude "evolutionary" version of them here while playing around with the idea.

As a "prompt engineer" 😎, I have been closely following "Open"AI's and other companies' progress in general purpose artificial intelligence, and have been among the earliest users of GitHub Copilot, DALLE, DALLE-2, GPT-3 GPT-3.5, GPT-4, and Midjourney. I am seeking internships in software engineering, artificial intelligence, web design, and related fields to apply my skills, knowledge, and gain valuable experience. I am confident that my unique combination of skills, experience, and education make me a valuable asset to any team.
